I am a qualified teacher, and love to enable and encourage people to learn or develop skills in painting. I have given practical workshops locally in various media, including ink and bleach, textures in watercolour and pastels. I offer individual tuition in my home in any media, especially to beginners and those who are a bit nervous but would like to have a go – and to those who would like to learn new techniques.
Why not let me show you how to use the exciting medium of encaustic wax? Or enjoy experimenting with Brusho? Or have fun with ink and bleach?
Prices are £30 for two hours including all materials – and it may be possible for me to come to your home locally if you are unable to get out.
And I offer vouchers for tuition, which make an unusual present to give to that person who has everything.
Something else that I offer is spiritual direction, which is a strange and old-fashioned, but increasingly well-known, term for non-directive Christian spiritual mentoring, ie helping people to grow in their faith and relationship with God, and to see how that impacts on their everyday life. This involves meeting together about once a month at my house in complete confidence and in an accepting, open and welcoming atmosphere.
My training was at the London Centre for Spirituality in Lombard Street, 2003-2006, and focussed on the different disciplines of spirituality in general, but with the main focus on Ignatian spirituality. I work privately, and also for the Anglican Diocese of St Albans.
I also offer supervision and am happy to lead sessions in Quiet Days, and to give spiritual direction on Weeks of Accompanied Prayer.
Do get in touch if you would like to know more, or to come for an introductory session.
